Tips for SAM2010.Course

Hey! Please look here weekly for any tips or information to get you through the SAM's Course at Westfield State University!

The information here is in no particular order and it will be segmented by Application Type, exam or project type and date of entry

TIPS

1. Don't forget that Cengage (the publisher of the SAM's Course, suggests that you use the latest FireFox Browser.
2. In WORD Exam#1, question#20, DON'T use ALL CAPS for February, because it might not show the auto-complete pop-up.
3. In Excel Project#1, one of the first questions asks you to include two lines of data in one cell. Unfortunately, SAM's doesn't go over that in the initial training.
   To do it, add the content to the cell and then to divide you just have to place the cursor at the point where you want the line break, hold the alt key down and press enter.
4. Note:  If you are using two computers side by side, make sure that you log onto SAM on one computer first, and open the training.  With the training loaded on the first computer, log onto your SAM account from the other computer and open the test.  You will get booted off of your SAM accounts on one computer if not done this way.
